This tropical blend of pineapple, orange, lemon, and lime is the perfect compliment to game day grub. Made with a blend of red wine, this tasty treat embodies hints of sweet and spicy. Be sure to make an extra pitcher, because your guests will be asking for more! This crowd-pleasing sangria is featured in Episode 5 of Moms Sipping Sangria.

INGREDIENTS

25 oz of cabernet sauvignon merlot (blend)

2 oranges

1 lemon

1 lime

1/2 a pineapple (or 1 can, drained)

large handful of fresh cherries or berries

ginger ale

Serves 5

DIRECTIONS

  • Cut lemon and limes into wedges and the pineapple into chunks.

  • Seed cherries and cut them in half.

  • Cut one orange into wedges. Juice the 2nd orange into a large pitcher. Toss in the cut orange, lemon, lime, pineapple and cherries/berries into a pitcher.

  • Add wine and stir, then allow the mixture to chill overnight for the best results. When ready to serve, pour the Sangria over ice, and then top with a splash of ginger ale for an extra hint of fizz and sweetness.

Tip: For best results, chill the mixture overnight.
