Simple Sangria

Looking for a quick and easy sangria recipe? You've come to the right place.

This blend of raspberries, wine, and citrus-y goodness is a crowd-pleasing thirst quencher. This delicious fruit-laden simple sangria is featured in Episode 1 of Moms Sipping Sangria.


INGREDIENTS

1 lemon, thinly sliced 1 small orange, thinly sliced 1 cup (250 mL) fresh raspberries ¾ cup (185 mL) freshly squeezed lemon juice ¾ cup (185) simple syrup (see below)* 1 cup (250 mL) water 750 mL dry red wine


Serves 6


DIRECTIONS

Add lemon and orange and raspberries to a large pitcher. Stir to bruise raspberries slightly. Top lemon juice and simple syrup . Stir in water then wine. Chill thoroughly for at least 4 hours allowing flavours to infuse. Serve in a tall glass or large wine goblet over ice.


*Simple Syrup

1 cup (250 mL) water 1 cup (250 mL) granulated sugar


Bring water to a boil in a small pan. Remove from heat. Add sugar and stir to dissolve. Let cool.
