Anita & Sheila
Summer Social Distance Visit
Updated: Aug 4, 2020
We did it! The Moms Sipping Sangria duo finally decided to reconnect—in person—during a summer social distance visit that was loooong overdue.

Ok, so the sun's in Anita's eyes and she has a tag sticking out, but you can sense the excitement these two lifelong besties are feeling at seeing each for the first time in months, right?
It was a true tale of East meets West with a cheers over sangria (what else?!), lots of laughs, and a ton of chit chat in the great outdoors. Pretty sure the guys cheered over beer ... several times ... but we digress. We were all feeling the good vibes that Saturday.
Sheila thought of everything to help keep us safe on this hot summer's day. We sipped and dined outside, splashed in the pool to stay cool (one of the safest places to be when keeping a physical distance from each other according to experts, as posted on NPR), and chatted until the wee hours of the morning ... all while keeping safety measures top of mind.
Sheila's bathroom was completely outfitted for guests. Paper towel replaced the regular hand towel for drying hands, and hand sanitizer was available for added safety. And, Sheila's soap dispenser was battery operated with a motion sensor so there was no need to pump for soap!
Before dinner, Sheila prepared and served two yummy snack trays—one for each couple. Impressive, right?!

Since COVID-19 hit, we have been forced to record the Moms Sipping Sangria podcast from the safety of our own homes. Now that we have just moved into Phase 3 here in Ontario, we are mulling over the possibilities of recording in studio again ... with safety measures in place, of course. Fingers crossed, we can make it happen sooner rather than later.
Stay tuned for our next episode, and thanks for listening!
